About Marin
From a young age, I’ve had three great passions: painting, my love for animals and plants, and my interest in human behavior.
My mission is to help you connect with your core and show yourself fully, just as you are. So, following your heart, you blossom.je op en kun je jouw bijzondere kwaliteiten en passies pas echt ten volle beleven en benutten!
You have your own path to follow, I will help you find it.
Portraits
The (unconscious) human tendency to put on an outward appearance, something animals lack, continues to fascinate me endlessly. Why do people do this? If this “mask” is removed, how different are humans and animals?
My portraits are always a quest for the essence of a being, “bringing the inside out.”n.”

A painter with a golden brush who captures faces and especially eyes with great passion. Beautiful portraits of lonely people on sheets of wrapping paper. Marin Elsen is a talent to keep an eye on.

I originally trained as an independent visual artist and teacher of visual arts and design. After briefly working in secondary schools and art centers, I decided to dedicate myself fully to my work as a painter and as a private drawing and painting instructor.
Painting and drawing portraits is a gift I was born with; I’m self-taught. Yet, while painting and drawing, I regularly encountered things that I felt weren’t working, but for which I couldn’t immediately find a solution. If something did work, I didn’t know why. This prompted me to practice and study for years to fully understand drawing and painting, to achieve mastery instead of chance. This development never stops for me, by the way. I still sketch and paint every day and read and watch everything I can get my hands on about it.
I love passing on my knowledge and experience to my students.

Besides being a portrait painter and teacher, I also work as a guide for people and horses, and as a coach with horses. In this role, I combine my knowledge and experience in coaching, energy work, body awareness, horsemanship, straightness training, centered riding, teaching, and academic horsemanship to bring combinations into optimal physical and mental balance based on authentic communication.
